Fantastic tour and a real eye opener to the tunnel warfare in the Cu Chi district. David versus Goliath and David won. This tour was excellent as I was able to experience the life and scenes on the Saigon river as well. The scenes are unique to Vietnam and much faster than by coach. The tour guide Tony was an excellent narrator and described the warfare and difficult life in the Cu Chi region very well and impartially. The food and water served on the boat was good as well as the lunch at the restaurant on site in Cu Chi. It was amazing to see the might of the US army and the US Air Force using heavy B-52 bombers against the tunnel combatants and yet not being able to overcome them. The skill and wit of the liberation fighters must surely go down as the most impressive military victory of modern times.

We got picked up at 7am then we’re on the speed boat by 7.30am. It was an hour and a half speed boat ride with lots of interesting scenery to look at and a banh mi for breakfast and lots of drinks and local fruits. Yum. Was great taking the speed boat as the bus ride was much longer and started later which would mean more crowds and hotter. Our guide David was awesome- knowledgeable and funny. The cu chi tunnels are fascinating and the chance to go in them was very memorable. We shot an AK47 (5 bullets each at $1usd each) - cool experience but our gun was a bit jammy which was a bit annoying. They show you all the traps and weapons they used and there is lots of staff there to keep things moving. Sometimes you would catch up with another group and have to wait a bit but never for long. After 2hours we had lunch at the restaurant - pretty yummmy with a good selection (vege options if you want). Then on to the speed boat ride home (more fruit and drinks) then a ride back to our apartment. We were staying in district 4 which is not mentioned in their pick up districts but it was no problem. Great value for money and awesome experience.

This was a really good day. Our guide Phat was really friendly and kept us safe and away from lots of traffic - so don't worry. We learnt and saw many new things and riding through the rice fields and seeing the village markets were special. Learning more about that terrible conflict when visiting the tunnels was sobering. Lunch was excellent . You won't regret this.

A perfect orginzed tour and it worked clockwise with pickup and the schedule during the day. Great guide and interesting subject for the tour. Must be much better than sitting on bus for a couple of hours when this option with a river boat tour is much more convinient.

Our family of three recently did the Cu-Chi Tunnel Tour with Les Rives. Right from the outset they were excellent to deal with, even allowing us to change the day of the tour at short notice. The pick up from our hotel was exactly as advised & within 15 minutes we were settled on the launch. Due to the early start ( 8am ) we were provided with filled baguettes, fruit & Vietnamese coffee for breakfast. Our guide Dat was outstanding. He spoke perfect English & given the sensitivities surrounding this site for the Vietnamese people, he managed to impart the relevant information with candour & dignity. The tunnels are a testament to the resilience & tenacity of the people, & their very existence stands as a permanent testament to the futility of war. Highly recommended
